Because of our rescheduled week last week we have a meeting this week too. Last meeting the girls watched a power point presentation of Mean Stinks, What Girl-on-Girl Bullying looks like. We had some very good discussions and all the girls signed the Mean Stinks, It's Rude to Exclude pact. I sent home a sheet that summarizes what they learned. If you get a chance to review the sheet with your daughter, you may be surprised with the questions you get. I was pleasantly surprised that our girls think about their relationships very deeply and understand when they are being "bullied" even if that bullying is subtle (i.e. manipulation).
This week we will be starting our Jeweler badge activities and making SWAPS. Eliza has snack tomorrow.
We have two confirmed dates from our tentative activities. One is the Holiday Boutique. The date has been set for December 8th in the afternoon (commitment will be 4 hours starting around noon) and the other is the Color Guard activity on January 11th @ 10 a.m. Please mark your calendars.
